PURPOSE (Why does this position exist?)
This position fulfills a critical role where application development expertise is needed. This position will help the Rapid Application Development team deliver solutions to the client by performing the design, development and deployment of applications using a low-code platform. Additionally, the low-code platforms used leverage other technical languages such as Java and Javascript to extend and deliver custom features to customers.

• Up to 100% Travel (Typically M-Th on-site scenario)

Application Architect / Mendix Developer

The Application Architect we are looking for will need to have the skill set to cover both modes of IT landscape.

As such, he/she builds a complete view of our IT capabilities and assets, both current and future needs in a way which ensures alignment with the overall company strategy and business model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features

About the Role

As a Senior Business Engineer you’ll be joining the CIO ‘Fast Track’ team here at LV=.  This is a truly exciting part of the business.  They’re a small team dedicated to driving innovative thinking, developing, testing and implementing new technologies and new ways of working to deliver rapid business solutions in a highly collaborative way.  They just make change happen; able to quickly turn around new and innovative ideas based on business needs and requests.

Local client needs 100% onsite Mendix resource to help with their environment and new trainees.

Duties include:

Small Commercial Business, they have a rate code issue, and the workflow is designed, all requirements are well documented. One project is supporting campaign management on their web portal. The other project is Rate/Quote. And the last project is building a forms library.

Mendix need to know:

  • Programming best practice
  • Understand the Mendex Syntax
  • The workflow is very visual, not hard. Drag and Drop.
